Vandalia High School Class of 1945 holds 70th reunion

A 70 year reunion of the members of the Vandalia High School Class of 1945 was held at the VFW Hall on Saturday, May 16. The original class had 46 members with four men in the service of World War II before graduation. There are 21 remaining members and 10 were present for the reunion.   • Van-Far holds special meeting

    The Van-Far R-I School Board met for a busy hour during a special meeting held last Tuesday in the District’s Conference Room. During the meeting, the board passed a resolution to approve the bond issuance. According to drafted meeting minutes, Brad Wegman and Holly Murphy, from L.J. Hart, provided information on the bond and a timeline of the process. Board members then took some time to sign the bond paperwork.

    The Van-Far FFA Chapter celebrated another year of success by honoring several students and area residents for their work during the 2014-2015 school year.
