Smith helps Belgium team to solid start

Van-Far graduate and current international basketball player Mike Smith is enjoying his first season as a starter for the Belgium team, Mons-Hainaut. Smith is currently the second leading scorer on a team that has started the EuroChallenge play in Group E with a 2-0 record. Smith’s team is currently sitting in a tie for first place with Nanterre.     The Van-Far Lady Indians basketball team is optimistic about the 2014-2015 season, one year removed from a 2-22 record. They will have to overcome the loss of their second leading scorer Brooke Johnson to graduation as well as defensive specialist Haven Atkinson and starting point guard Ciara Craven, but several returners will be key to their success.
