Basinger inducted in 4-H Hall of Fame
Patty Fisher, 4-H Youth Development Specialist, honored A.J. Basinger of Ralls County by inducting him into the Missouri 4-H Hall of Fame, held August 17 at State Fair Community College.
Making the best better for generations of Missouri 4-H’ers, A.J. Basinger, of Ralls County, joined the Missouri 4-H Hall of Fame, held August 17 at State Fair Community College.
A.J. has been sharing his expertise with youth in woodworking for several years. He not only leads a project but serves as a judge for another county in woodworking. He works to have the youth learn from the judging experience so they go away having a little more knowledge than when they walked in for the judging experience. A.J. is very diligent about working with youth to accomplish their highest potential. He is willing to give of his time and talents to assist youth.
The Missouri 4-H Foundation recognizes individuals who have created a legacy of service to 4-H by honoring them with membership in the Missouri 4-H Hall of Fame.
“These leaders have made exceptional contributions to the lives of Missouri 4-H members,” said Missouri 4-H Foundation Executive Director Cheryl Reams.
Hall of Fame inductees from 40 counties established a legacy totaling 1,465 years of service to 4-H.
Family members and friends attended the 7th annual event.
