Edgar R. “Bud” Teague, Jr., passed away at 6 a.m. on Monday, August 12, 2013 at the Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Mo.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia.
Services will be Thursday, August 15 at 11 a.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bob Hoehn officiating.
Edgar “Bud” Teague, Jr., was born March 21, 1923 in Laverne, Okla to Edgar R. and Elsie M. Teague.
He moved to Vandalia in 1940. He was married to Theresa Little on May 28, 1946.
He is survived by his wife Theresa and one son Gordon Teague and wife Paula of Vandalia, one daughter Regina Teague Vogt and her husband Floyd of Laddonia, Mo.
Grandchildren are Michael Vogt and his wife Dee Dee of Marysville, Kan; Linda Vogt McBride and Justin Teague of Vandalia.
Great-grand children are Nathanael Vogt and Jennifer Vogt of Marysville, KS. and Elizabeth McBride of Vandalia, Mo.
Edgar is also survived by two sisters, Edith Teague Ridgeway of Vandalia, Mo and Almeda Teague Galloway of Nashville, Ill.
He spent over 60 years in Vandalia and retired from Harbison Walker Refractories after 30 years of service.
He served 2 1/2 years in the Army Air Force in World War II with the European Theatre Campaigne, where he received a ribbon with one Silver Star and one Bronze Star, Distinguished Unit Badge with one Oak Leaf and a Good Conduct Ribbon.
He enjoyed camping and fishing.
