Task Force makes meth bust, arrests two suspects
During the afternoon hours of August 3, the East Central Drug Task Force assisted by Mexico Public Safety, the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol served a search warrant in the 1600 block of South Clark Street in Mexico, Mo.
As a result of the search, officers charged two suspects. Seized were methamphetamine, chemicals, and precursors used in the production of methamphetamine.
Allen Maxwell Vestal, age 33, of Mexico, for distribution of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Vestal’s bond is set at $11,000.
Synthia Merie Johnson, age 25, of Lakewood, Colo. for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Johnson posted an $11,000 bond.
The East Central Drug Task Force was organized in 2001 and serves the cities of Bowling Green, Mexico, Montgomery City, and Vandalia, the counties of Audrain, Montgomery and Warren, along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
