Locals shine at Show-Me

The Farber Fun Fest is August 2-3. The new bleachers for the Fun Fest were put together Saturday, August  27 at Paul and Cindy Evans’ house, then delivered to Farber. Those in photograph are, front row, from left: Andy James and  Cindy Evans. Back row: Gary Stubblefield, Paul Evans, Tony Shade, and Michael Evans. Not present for the picture were Tom Culwell and Allen Snodgrass. Money for the bleachers was from a Lucky party in the Spring, The French Foundation, and the Farber Lions Club. Come try out the new bleachers at the Missouri Farm Pullers Tractor Pull, Super Farmer Contest, and many other events. Admission is free.

Several Vandalia area bowlers recently earned medals at the Show-Me State Games held in Columbia. Jayda Borgmeyer and Zack Flowers won the gold medal in a Mixed Doubles contest. Flowers also earned a bronze in singles.

Hunter Scrogin won gold in singles. He also teamed with his dad Lee Scrogin to win gold in the parent/child event.
