The Angela’s Dance Company Sophomore Division softball team recently finished their season in second place.
The girls finished 9-3 in the regular season and were the No. 3 seed in the playoffs.
In the semifinals, ADC defeated the No. 2 seeded Eolia squad 15-12. They lost the championship game to the No. 1 seedded Clarksville Gators 11-3.
Clarksville finished the season at 13-1 with their only defeat coming from ADC in late June.
“This was the girls first year in this division and they mainly competed against girls that were already in or are going to high school this fall,” said coach Pat Connaway. “It was a great season for a great group of girls. It is pretty impressive to take second in a division where several of the girls are 16 years old. They competed every night and for being a Jr. High team we held our own and we are looking forward to this fall and next summer.”
