Offender dies of natural causes

On June 27, 2013 at 3:36 a.m., offender, Patricia Bettens, confined at Women’s Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center, was pronounced dead of apparent natural causes at the Women’s Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center.

Bettens was a 62-year-old female serving a seven-year sentence for one count of Driving While Intoxicated-Alcohol-Aggravated Offender (LTC) from St. Charles County.
