Highlights from the week:
A church service was held in the chapel on Sunday.
On Monday morning a group gathered in the activity room and discussed trivia followed by a game of “Pass the Trash” with the card players in the afternoon.
A Catholic communion was provided on Tuesday morning in the chapel and at lunch time a group of residents enjoyed a picnic in the pavilion with hotdogs, brats and burgers.
In the afternoon a Bible study and a Lutheran service were provided in the chapel and then that evening the VFW Post No. 3772 held their monthly meeting with several residents attending.
The May birthday residents were treated to lunch on Wednesday and then everyone enjoyed homemade smoothies in the afternoon.
Bingo and pool were the highlights on Thursday morning followed by joke telling in the afternoon.
That evening a group did some site seeing around Mexico and enjoyed some ice cream.
On Friday, a group went to Columbia for the Memorial Air Show and had lunch at Jakes.
A resident is collecting tabs from aluminum cans for the Ronald McDonald House in Columbia.
If you would like to save the tabs and bring them to the facility, he will see that they get to the Columbia location.
VFW Post No. 3772 will meet on Tuesday, June 18 at 7 p.m. in the dining room at the facility.
All VFW members are welcome to attend.
Alzheimer Support Group will meet on Wednesday, June 19 at 1:30 p.m. at the facility.
The public is welcome to attend.
