R-VI baseball picks up two wins

In just their fifth game of the season last week due to weather canceling several contests, the Community R-VI baseball team came out swinging in an 11-0 victory over Marion County.
Trojans’ pitcher Jacob Eastwood led the team with a complete game one-hitter.
The offense helped him out with four home runs.
“Jacob Eastwood was very efficient with his pitch count and had great command all game,” said Community R-VI head coach Mike Boedeker.
“It was nice to get a win and have everyone contribute.”
Kaleb Harris hit two home runs and finished the game with four RBI’s.
Justin Durham had one home run and three RBIs while Clay Thebeau also had a home run.
Doug Davenport went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases.
Cameron Foreman had three hits.
