Farmer Farmerette Club enjoy meeting
Members of the Farmer Farmerette Club met at 6 p.m. Thursday evening April 4 at the home of Clara Shaver for their monthly meeting with Mrs. Shaver as hostess. Before the meeting, Shaver served a delicious meal.
Vice-President Elsie Lybarger called the meeting to order with Jeannie Smith leading the group in the pledge to the American flag.
Members present displayed a craft item for roll call. Those answering were Elsie Lybarger, Wanda Hanson, Clara Shaver, Pauline Keithley, Pauline Oberman, Ginger Mangan, Claudine Lybarger, and Jeannie Smith. Pauline Keithley showed a crocheted dish cloth which she had made and held a drawing for it with Elsie being the lucky winner.
Our guest was present, Vivian Davis. For the devotional, Shaver read “Answered Prayer” from the Upper Room.
Song leader Pauline Oberman lead the group in singing “God Bless America.”
The mystery prize donated by Hanson was won by Oberman.
A sympathy card was signed by all to be sent to Keri Bradford’s family in the passing of her mother-in-law. Members enjoyed watching “Christmas Angel” which Hanson provided for their viewing pleasure. Final plans were ironed out for the club’s annual carry-in Easter supper which will be held on Sunday evening April 7 at 6 p.m. in the Curryville Presbyterian Church’s fellowship hall.
The next meeting will be on Thursday evening May 2 at 6 p.m. at the home of Keri Bradford with Pauline Oberman as hostess.
