Spring sports depressed by recent wet weather
The recent storms have certainly been good for the drought.
But the weather has no-doubt put a damper on the spring sports season.
With area teams first moving indoors for practice, the original worry centered on getting enough sessions in before the season started.
Now, wet conditions threaten the postseason, keeping teams from even taking the field.
Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) bylaws say at least half of the scheduled games per sport need to be completed to qualify for post-season competition.
For baseball, Jungers said that means Van-Far will have to complete at least 10 regular season games to be post-season eligible.
