Abbigail Michaela Lucas

Abbigail Michaela Lucas, age 12, of Bowling Green, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at her home with her family by her side.
Funeral services for Miss Abbigail were held at 12 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013 at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Stan Henderson officiated.  Burial was at Green Lawn Cemetery in Bowling Green. Visitation was held Sunday March 24, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Abbigail was born June 19, 2000 in Hannibal the daughter of Wendie and Michael Lucas.  She is survived by her parents; one brother Connor Lucas age 10; one sister Savannah Lucas age 4 ½; Maternal Grandparents John and Sue Taylor of Curryville, Jimmy Hobbs of Kentucky; Aunts and Uncles Rebecca and husband Brian Puszkar, Robin Raufer, Patti and husband Kenny Miller, Linda Worthington, Eric and Tina Dunlap, Butch and Lindy Dunlap, Johnny and Amanda Taylor, Susie and Kevin Belshe, Kathy and Kevin Hufford, Carol Grote, John Lucas, Ed Lucas, Jim and Bonnie Lucas; and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Bill and Maxine Lucas formerly of Bowling Green.
Abbigail grew up and was raised in Bowling Green.  She was currently in the seventh grade at Bowling Green Middle School. She loved going to school and DARE dances.  She enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, and fulfilling her dream of swimming with the dolphins.   Abbigail enjoyed having sleepovers with her friends and watching scary movies.  In the past she played softball and soccer.  She loved babies, her two cats Sugar and Baby and her dog Chance.  Abbigail loved the color purple, was a brave fighter and was a caregiver by nature.  Miss Abbigail had the biggest heart. Abbi did a lot of work for Friends of Kids with Cancer.  She helped with the Art from the Heart program and she participated in their fashion show as a model at the Ritz Carlton in St. Louis.  Above all she has inspired many people to grow deeper in their own faith and have a closer relationship with God.  Abbigail was baptized by Bro. Stan Henderson from the Cowboy Church.
Serving as pallbearers were Robin Raufer, John Lucas, Nick Spencer and Brian Puszkar. Memorials may be made to the Friends of Kids with Cancer. On-line condolences may be left at www.muddveach.com
