Funeral services for Kevin Dean Chrisman, 46, formerly of Vandalia, was held at 4 p.m., Sunday at Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. Pastor Dan Jones officiated.
Visitation was held from 2 p.m., until time of services Sunday at the funeral home.
He died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at his home near Eolia.
He was born Dec. 18, 1966 in Louisiana, the son of Ronald Dean Chrisman and Becky Lawson Chrisman. He married Lynette Branstetter on May 19, 1990 in Vandalia. She survives.
He is also survived by two sons, Lyndle Chrisman and friend, Jordyn Hull of Vandalia and Ryan Chrisman of Eolia; his mother, Becky Lawson Chrisman of Vandalia; grandmother, Gwen Chrisman of Vandalia; aunts, Snookie Henderson, Bea King, Linda Davis, Nellie Rousan, all of Louisiana, Brenda Adams of Troy, Sylvia Lawson of St. Louis and Connie Uhey of Vandalia; uncles, Mike Lawson and Morris Lawson, both of Louisiana; a nephew, Cole Chrisman and a niece, Katelyn Chrisman, both of Farber.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Dean Chrisman, a brother, Timothy Chrisman, his grandparents, Iona and Paul Lawson and Floyd Chrisman, Uncles; Lyndle Lawson, Charlie Lawson, Paul Lawson and Kenny Lawson; an aunt, Kathleen Lawson and several cousins.
He graduated from the Van-Far High School in Vandalia in 1985.
Kevin and his brother owned and operated the Chrisman Construction Company in Vandalia for a number of years and had also been employed as a plumber for Ingram Plumbing Company in Bowling Green.
He was a Christian and believer and attended the Troy Weslyn Church in Troy.
Kevin raised some of the best German Shepherd around and sold them around the U.S. He also enjoyed woodworking. Loved fishing with his family and friends.
