The evening of February 5 sixteen members of Chapter CE P. E. O. met for their monthly meeting at the Presbyterian Church.
Hostesses were Ruth Calcaterra and Lisa Newland substituting for Helen Thompson and Sheila Ennis.
The program was presented by Loralee Adam with twenty of “The Greatest Love Stories Ever Told” throughout history, literature, and legend. Members then guessed sisters remembrances of their romances, engagement, wedding, and honeymoon plans.
Concluding the program, each member was presented a heart shaped box of chocolates. Sharon Lewton, President, presided over the business meeting.
It was announced dues for the year need to be paid to Teresa Wenzel, treasurer, before March first. Members volunteered salads for the funeral dinner of Fred Kohl. 4 x 6 photographs taken at the January Founders’ Day Meeting of members in their aprons were distributed.
Cindy Pirch, 2013-2014 Program Chairman, gave a report from her committee.
It was announced the newly formed book study will begin Tuesday, February 26 from 3:30-5:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church and copies of the book to be read “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas” were given to interested participants.
New officers elected are the following: Sharon Lewton and Ann Foreman, co-presidents; Cindy Pirch vice-president; Beth Motley recording secretary; Muriel Beshears corresponding secretary; Shirley Morris treasurer; Ruth Nation chaplain; Janie Zimmer guard.
They will be installed at the March 5 meeting at the Presbyterian Church at 7 p.m. with hostesses Muriel Beshears and Lisa Newland. Teresa Wenzel will be in charge of the program “card making”.
