Van-Far set to host 5th Annual A+ Career Fair
The 5th Annual Van-Far A+ Career Fair will be Friday, February 22, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Judge Jimmie Edwards from St. Louis will be the opening speaker for the day. This year some 37 presenters will share information on their chosen careers with the students in grades 7 through 12. Many presenters are Van-Far graduates. The Six Career Paths are Human Services; Natural Resources Agriculture; Business, Management & Technology; Arts & Communication; Health Services; and Industrial & Engineering Technology. All the students at the high school have chosen their career path and their coursework is aligned with that career path. There will be 6 presentation sessions—one on each of the Career Paths. All the students will participate in the Career Fair. Sophomores, juniors & seniors have the opportunity to visit with college, tech school & military recruiters during the afternoon College/Tech/Military Fair in the VFHS gym. Parents are welcome to share in College/Tech/Military Fair open from noon to 3 p.m. in the gym.
The A+ Coordinator is Joy Davis and the A+ Secretary is Carol Schambach.
