The Board of Aldermen of the City of Farber met in regular session at 5 p.m. Monday, January 14, with the following members present: Mayor Pro-tem Ronald Greenplate, Lynn Flowers, alderperson; Gary Stubblefield, alderperson; Tony Shade, alderperson; and Marie Bounds, city clerk.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as presented.
The listing of accounts payable was presented and approved.
A motion was made and carried that gives Scott Allen, water/wastewater superintendent, approval for signature of record to sign water and wastewater reports.
Allen said he corrected the deficiencies listed on the violation letter and sent the reply to the Department of Natural Resources.
Kim Haynie was present to ask the board if they would sponsor her in the Polar Plunge for the Special Olympics.
Taxpayer monies cannot be used for that purpose.
A motion was made and carried to enter into a closed session to discuss personnel. Since the mayor was absent, no decisions were made.
