Lutheran Women’s Guild meets
The St, John Lutheran Women’s Guild met on Wednesday, January 9 at the home of Dorothy Cahill. Outgoing president, Regina Vogt, opened the meeting with prayer and installed the new president, Carol Fischer.
Karen Morris presented the Bible study, “Gift of Time.” Six members responded to roll call.
The secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were read and approved and committee reports given. Thank you notes for Christmas treats were read.
The flower chart for the new year will be posted for sign up.
It was noted to send a donation to the Ed French Foundation in memory of Bill and Nancy Stafford.
The next meeting will follow the Ash Wednesday service on February 13. A love offering will be received at that meeting. A sign up sheet for Lenten Suppers will be posted.
The meeting closed with the Lord’s prayer. Refreshments were served by Karen Morris.
