Sleep Lab moved at Audrain Medical
Audrain Medical Center is very proud to announce our new sleep lab.
With the tremendous help of the Auxiliary, AMC was able to move the sleep lab to a more preferred part of the hospital.
A total remodel of the rooms including painting, décor accessories, comforters and flat screen televisions makes it more comfortable to the sleep lab patients. The newly remodeled rooms have more of a home feel to them which will in turn provide better quality sleep studies. The new beds will better serve patients of all sizes. In addition, each room has its own private shower. We have also installed new equipment which allows AMC to provide patients with the latest sleep technology. With this move, it will allow us in the future to expand our lab to a four patient lab and lessen our wait times.
“We are very excited about this new project and are so very thankful to the Auxiliary for their funding,” stated Debbie Playter, Director of the Cardiopulmonary and the Heart Center. “We have wanted to make this move for the past five years and thanks to the Auxiliary, it is now a reality.”
AMC will be hosting an open house on Thursday, January 31 to allow the community to see these new rooms. It will be held from 3 – 6 p.m.
