Monday, Oct. 1
At 10 a.m., residents enjoyed the trivia game of America’s Great Cities Jingo with assistance from staff.
At 1:30 p.m., exercises were held with assistance from Davaline Overton.
Tuesday, Oct. 2
At 10 a.m., residents enjoyed the Horse Racing Game with assistance from staff.
At 1:30 p.m., exercises were held with Kassie Scott, Kitty McCurdy, and Susan Jennings.
Wednesday, Oct. 3
Exercises were held in the West Hall at 10 a.m. with Kassie Scott.
At 10 a.m., The Vandalia Leader was read in the East Hall with from Davaline Overton.
At 1:30 p.m., residents enjoyed apple and peach fried pies with assistance from staff. A large crowd was in attendance.
Thursday, Oct. 4
At 10 a.m., exercises were held with Kassie Scott.
At 1:30 p.m., the October monthly meeting was held with Paula McCurdy, Patricia Conway, Kassie Scott, and Davaline Overton.
Friday, Oct. 5
At 9 a.m. exercises were held with Davaline Overton.
Residents on the East Hall enjoyed a movie at 10 a.m. with Kassie Scott.
At 1:30 p.m., Residents enjoyed a game of Bingo with volunteers Patsy Clithero, Jewel Hammett, Norma Daniels, Gwen Connoy, and Doris Ray. A large crow was in attendance.
At 4 p.m., residents were taken to the VFW for the fish fry. The residents were Flossie Kenaston, Cotton Ingram, Bertha Jones, and Anna Herlinger.
Saturday, Oct. 6
At 1:30 p.m., residents enjoyed a movie with assistance from Angie Gerderman.
Sunday, Oct. 7
At 2 p.m., residents enjoyed a devotional service with assistance from Mary Sue Hays. Next Sunday, the Bible Holiness Church will be in charge of services.
Birthdays for October are: Margaret Fowler, October 15; Ethel Pew, October 19; and Wade Belts, October 25.
Donations were received from Sandy Chandler, Linda Galloway, Karen Powell, and Marilyn Burgett.
