St. John Lutheran Women’s Guild meets
The St. John Lutheran Women’s Guild met Wednesday, September 12.
President Regina Vogt opened the meeting with prayer, and Brenda Elliott led the Bible study, “2 Hate to Wait.”
Six members responded to roll call in the form of a Bible verse using the word learn. The secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were read and approved, and committee reports given.
The president announced that the next LWML Board Meeting will be at the Zion Lutheran Church in Palmyra on September 29.
Plans were made for LWML Sunday on October 14. Serving as acolytes will be Marlo Hunn and Angie Morris. Elsie Hand will take up the offering. Carol Fischer will be the usher, and Dorothy Cahill will be the greeter. Readers will be Karen Morris and Brenda Elliott The Northeast Zone LWML Fall Rally will be in Monroe City on October 27.
Dorothy Cahill invited the guild to meet at her home during the fall and winter months. Her invitation was accepted. The next meeting will be on October 10. There will be an election of officers. The service project will be at the Agape House.
Refreshments were furnished by Margaret Price and served by Regina Vogt, and Brenda Elliott. Those attending were Elsie Hand, Marlo Hunn, Karen Morris, Regina Vogt, Brenda Elliott, and Dorothy Cahill.
