The City of Farber Board of Aldermen met in regular session at 5:30 p.m. Monday, September 10.
The following members were present: Mayor John Hodde, Alderpersons Lynn Flowers, Ronald Greenplate, Gary Stubblefield, Tony Shade, and City Clerk Marie Bounds.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as presented. The list of accounts payable were presented and approved.
The closed session was waived since no other citizens were present.
Celia Graves resigned as community building custodian. The board hired Larry Nation for the same salary.
Harold Libby resigned as water and wastewater superintendant. The board hired Scott Allen and Richard Greenplate for the same salary.
Since the City of Farber is having trouble balancing the budget and the community building rent does not cover the utilities, the board passed a motion to increase the rent by $20.
The board approved the general budget for the fiscal year 2012-13. The October regular meeting was rescheduled from October 8 to October 15.
