Tammy Angel gets settled at R-VI Elementary School
The Community R-VI School Board recently hired Tammy Angel as the new elementary school principal.
Angel is entering her 22nd year in education, with 17 of those years being in the classroom where she taught grades K-3rd and 5th grade.
“I am very excited to be the new principal at Community R-VI Elementary School,” Angel said. “It feels good to be an official Trojan!”
Angel served as an administrator for four years in Ralls County.
She said she still enjoys spending time in the classroom and watching students grow academically and socially.
She is married to Jeff Angel and resides on her family farm in Laddonia. The couple has four children in Miranda, Brennan, Emma, and Sarah.
They have one grandson named Clayton.
“We spend most of our time cheering on our favorite teams at the ball field or on the basketball court,” Angel added. “As I have spent the last few weeks getting settled at school, I have realized how very fortunate I am to live in a community that supports their school. That support is reflected in all the improvements taking place due to the recent bond issue being supported by the voters. I am excited to start the 2014-2015 school year with a great combination of students, families, and staff.”
