Nathan Lilley, Clarksville, has just returned from St. Louis, having successfully completed coursework in personal property appraisal at the Certified Appraisers Guild of America (CAGA).
Certification was awarded to Lilley, along with a number of fellow appraisers from the United States and Canada.
The concentrated course is conducted by CAGA, North America’s largest trainer of personal property appraisers.
Training included lectures and workshops featuring prominent appraisers from America and Canada.
Subjects covered included the appraisal of antiques, farm, livestock and business properties.
The course also included requirements for valuing estates, bankruptcy, insurance, divorce and providing expert testimony in court.
In addition to appraisals, Lilley provides comprehensive collectible counseling, especially when people face life-changing events.
“Sometimes people throw away valuables when under duress,” Lilley said.
“That’s where having a trusted outside source can make a big difference.”
Lilley can be reached by calling 573-253-4159.
