Local “Missouri Boys” to celebrate year of singing
The “Missouri Boys” includes Josiah and Jonah Edmond alongside Tyrece Cole.
Vandalia’s “Missouri Boys,” a contemporary gospel group with young singers ages 6-8, will be holding a 1st Anniversary Concert at 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 2 at the Second Missionary Baptist Church Worship Center on Highway 54.
The concert also features special guests and national recording artists Shawn Brown N Da Boyz, of St. Louis and Malaco Records.: “The Gospel All Stars of Peoria, Ill.” will also perform as well as many others lined up for the one night event.
Tickets for those 9 and older cost $10 each. Children ages 8 and under are free. Order tickets by calling 573-795-2337.
The group has received multi-state attention after making a television performance and performing concerts at almost 10 different venues during the past 12 months.
Locations include Columbia, Fulton, Palmyra, and LaGrange, Mo.; along with Peoria, Galseburg, and Quincy, Ill.; and Oklahoma City, Okla.
The “Missouri Boys” have sang for crowds in Oklahoma, Illinois, and Missouri. Their performance on a Columbia, Mo. television channel through Mediacom also helped to jump start their young careers.
“Missouri Boys” features Tyrece Cole, age 6, who is the son of Shemine Holt. It also includes twin 6-year-olds Josiah and Jonah Edmond, sons of Halley and Geriod Davis. They are represented by Mims Management Firm LLC.
