Highlights from the week
A church service was provided for the residents in the chapel on Sunday morning. Monday the card players gathered for a game of “Pass the Trash” and in the afternoon target shooting was held outback.
Tuesday morning the fishermen loaded the bus for a day of fishing at Chubby Underwood’s place. Everyone enjoyed the day catching fish and then a Barbecue lunch was served to everyone before leaving for the trip home. A Bible study was held in the chapel in the afternoon.
Wednesday morning a Lutheran service was held and also jokes & trivia were held in the activity room.
Bingo and pool were the highlights on Thursday morning and in the afternoon residents gathered for a game of cards.
On Friday morning, a group of residents enjoyed a trip to Centralia City Square for the Bell Ringing Ceremony and another group went to Perry for the Fourth of July Picnic and to see the old Merry-Go-Round. In the afternoon, a Catholic Mass was held in the chapel and ice cream sundaes were served in the dining room.
Kelly Stanford entertained with his music outside during the evening and then everyone enjoyed the firework show.
On Saturday bingo was sponsored by the Fulton VFW Post & Auxiliary No. 2657.
The VFW Post No. 3772 will meet on Tuesday, July 15 at 7 p.m. in the dining room at the facility. All VFW members are welcome to attend.
The Alzheimer Support Group will meet on Wednesday, July 16 at 1:30 p.m. at the facility. The public is welcome to attend.
Currently, volunteers are needed to help at the reception desk on Saturday mornings from 7:30 a.m. until noon. If you are interested, contact Susan Paden, Supervisor of Volunteer Services at 573-581-1088 ext. 1286.
