R-VI FFA wins 2013 chapter award
The Audrain County R-VI FFA recently won a national award.
The Audrain Co. R-VI FFA chapter of Laddonia, Mo. won a 2013 National Chapter award from the National FFA Organization. The program recognizes outstanding FFA chapters from throughout the country that successfully completed an annual set of required activities that encourage members to grow as individuals, work as a team and serve others in their communities.
Chapters that received a three, two, or one-star rating during judging July 28-August 2 in the competition FFA chapters were then recognized in a presentation at the 2013 National FFA Convention and Expo October 30-November 2 in Louisville, Ky.
All winning FFA chapters receive honors made possible by corporate sponsor John Deere as a special project of the National FFA Foundation.
The National FFA Organization provides leadership, personal growth and career success training through agricultural education to 579,678 student members in grades seven through 12 who belong to one of 7,570 local FFA chapters throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
