At the 86th National FFA Convention, five former Van-Far FFA members received their American FFA Degrees. They were Jessie Fowler, Kasey Gatson, Jinnifer Harrower, Jonathan Kurz, and Rachel Nelson.
The American Degree is the highest degree you can receive as an FFA member. It is based on a member’s continuation of their Supervised Agricultural Experience Project following high school graduation.
Jessie’s SAE was raising and showing cattle and swine, and she is majoring in agriculture economics at the University of Missouri.
Kasey’s SAE was raising and showing cattle and sheep, and she is majoring in secondary education at Westminster.
Jinnifer’s SAE was horses and her family’s nursing home and dog kennel, and she is majoring in nursing at Blessing-Rieman College.
Jonathan’s SAE was raising cattle, working on his family’s farm, and working at Sydenstricker’s. He is majoring in AG diesel at Linn Tech.
Rachel’s SAE was raising and showing cattle, and she is majoring in biochemistry at the University of Missouri.
