Monday, Sept. 9
At 10 a.m., residents from the Special Care Unit and the East Hall enjoyed a music video of Bill and Gloria Gaither, with a large crowd in attendance.
Residents enjoyed exercises at 1:30 p.m. with the assistance of Traci Shaw and staff.
At 6 p.m., the bi-weekly Bible class was held with Denna Nichols.
Tuesday, Sept. 10
At 10 a.m., a memorial service was held for Rheva Griggs with family and friends in attendance.
Residents enjoyed exercises at 1:30 p.m. with the assistance of Davaline Overton and Susan Jennings.
The monthly musical program with Wayne and Roy Lynn and Jaime Franke was held at 6:30 p.m. with a large crowd in attendance.
Wednesday, Sept. 11
At 10 a.m., residents enjoyed a movie on the East Hall with the assistance of Davaline Overton.
Residents enjoyed a Pet Show with the employees bringing in their pets. Marissa Cunningham brought her dog “Duke,” Darlene Wright brought her dog “Lily,” Roy Moore brought his dog “Bubbles,” and Traci Shaw brought her cat.
At 6:30 p.m., the Faith Tabernacle Church held their monthly devotional program, with the assistance of Angie Gerderman.
Thursday, Sept. 12
The Second Christian Church ladies held their monthly devotional program at 10 a.m. Those attending were Inez McPike, Virgie Overton, Lillian Johnson, Katherine Salmon, and Matthew Salmon. They brought out fresh fruit for everyone to enjoy.
Residents enjoyed a Bible Class at 1:30 p.m., with Mary Bufford.
Friday, Sept. 13
Residents enjoyed going outside at 10 a.m. for exercises with Sheila Green, Susan Jennings, and Traci Shaw. Residents from the West Hall enjoyed exercises, with the assistance of Davaline Overton.
At 1:30 p.m., residents enjoyed a game of bingo with volunteers Mary Crow, Doris Ray, Jewel Hammett, Norma Daniels, and Patsy Clithero. A large crowd was in attendance.
Saturday, Sept. 14
Residents enjoyed story hour of senior humor at 1:30 p.m., with the assistance of Traci Shaw and staff.
Sunday, Sept. 15
The Vandalia Holiness Church held the worship service at 2 p.m.
Next week, the First Presbyterian Church will be in charge of the service. Donations were received from Vernelle Hull, Brianne Grigsby, and Sandy Chandler for the Activity Department.
