Charles Heim was recognized for his 30 years of service to the City of Laddonia at the Board of Aldermen’s meeting on Thursday, September 12.

Charles Heim was recognized for his 30 years of service to the City of Laddonia at the Board of Aldermen’s meeting on Thursday, September 12.

The Laddonia Board of Aldermen met on Thursday, September 12 at 6 p.m. in the basement of City Hall.
Following roll call, a member of the Laddonia Athletic Association requested permission to temporarily block Chestnut and Fifth streets for the parade during Octoberfest on October 12. Permission was granted by the Board of Alderman.
Charles Heim was recognized for his 30 years of service to the City of Laddonia. The board wanted to honor Heim with a plaque, following the announcement of his retirement.
The Auditor, Rural De-velopment coordinator Treasurer, and Collector gave the board a status update. The minutes from the previous meeting were given and accepted.
Old business concerning the Lagoon/Waste Water Treatment Plant and the police situation were categories discussed as stated on the agenda.
It is uncertain at this time, how the City of Vandalia will assist the City of Laddonia with police protection.
New business consisted of reviewing bids for the upcoming Laddonia street repaving project.
The board is still waiting for other bids before making a decision.
Following the regular session of the meeting, board members went into a closed session.
